I am looking to install split A/Cs in the Living/Dining/AV area in my new house in Pune. The area in question is approx 750 sq ft and I have been advised to have 3 units of 1.5 TR each.

I have narrowed down my options to Daikin, Mitsubishi and Trane. From my discussions with various dealers, it appears that Daikin is preferable to other brands like LG, Samsung, Panasonic etc, with Mitsubishi being somewhat superior to Daikin, and Trane a notch or two higher.

I shall greatly appreciate knowing from Trane owners on the forum their experiences, as well as their level of satisfaction or dis-satisfaction with the product.

Thanks in advance!

I've never heard of Trane before. Not sure about after-sales or how they're compared to Daikin or Mitsubishi. I'll leave that to Trane owners.

I'll always recommend Daikin, Mitsubishi and Sharp. They're highly recommended by other FMs too. Good after-sales services although you won't need any for couple of years others than free servicings :)

Thank you AnubisX, for your input!

You are absolutely right in saying that Trane is not a familiar brand in India. FWIW, Trane, an American subsidy of Ingersoll Rand, is possibly the market leader in the US, and also very well reputed internationally, having done the airconditioning for the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, Petronas Towers in Malaysia, the Kremlin in Russia and our Akshardham temple in India, amongst many others.

For anyone seeking performance levels higher than the gaggle of Korean/Indian brands available locally, Daikin or Mitsubishi is a given. This is not to knock Japanese technology, but, when it comes to medium or heavy engineering, there is a general sense that German/American/British products are more 'robust' than their Japanese counterparts, and thus my interest in Trane.

I do look forward to hearing from some Trane owners on the forum prior to finalising my purchase!

Cheers

That's my point. They might have done some large-scale installations at those mentioned places but those are commercial installations. I'm not sure if you'll find anyone owning Trane at home.

Thank you Gentlemen, for your kind inputs.

I finally went in for Trane, as I felt it offered me the best features. Shall revert with my views on the performance, in due course.

Cheers!

Congrats.
I am in the same confusion. From Where did you purchase this??

Thanks!

I bought them from Supreet Enterprises in Pune. In Mumbai you may try HTL Aircon Pvt. Ltd. They are dealers for Trane, Mitsubishi and Daikin. I don't have their nos. but you can google them.

All the best!
