Hi! Finally I zeroed at Samsung 46F6400. It costed me at around 97K. Deal was till 15th August of 2 extra 3D glasses with 1 year extended warranty on Panel. I also insured for TV with Panel by paying 1.4K extra through 14 EMI (Added in my main EMI for TV). Insurance will start after end of OEM warranty.
Didnt explore much but 3D and browsing features. Could not check completely on 3D due to lack of 3D content. Wanted to enter service menu but the remote supplied is of Touch type. Can you guys help me in getting the service menu through touch remote?
BTW, the remote is just superb. Works great!

I will upload the photos in 2-3 days with performance review.

6400 series is mid range feature rich pack. I liked its browsing speed over WiFi. Opens Very Fast. Couldn't connect to WiFi direct to my mobile (Galaxy S Duos). Have to explore more. 3D is good. Very effective when i watched Samsung 3D magic clip. Only problem I observed is as Glasses are active type, it takes at least 15 Sec to adjust properly. If surrounding lights are off, it gives better picture of 3D.

SD video is good enough. I am very happy to use videocon d2h. HD is much better. I can identify spots on many models' face while watching in HD.. :D.

It has a facility to control external device through IR cable. Means, if you have other STB, DVD player then select the make & model in your Tv. Connect your IR cable (supplied with TV) and with change in TV remote, STB / Disc player function will also change. However I couldnt change my d2h STB as new d2h STB operates on RF remote. This TV generates IR signal. :sad:

Playing movie through HDD is fast. I connected 1TB Buffalo HDD. Plays all format. It remembers the position when exit the movie from middle. Forward & Reverse are controlled by sliding on Touch area of Rmeote. No lag observed.

There is a picture off option to listen music. But this option is not available if you are playing from USB. Sad as you store music in your pen drives only.

Didnt like the TV power chord. Looks a little cheap but hardly you notice once installed.

Most TV connectors and I/O are side and back of TV. Once Wall mounted, I found it difficult to acees easily. So connected 2 USB extension to manage mounting USB devices.

While browsing content from HDD, menu transition became a little slugglish. Could be due to capacity of HDD. But its not worth of a concern.

My wife and baby are very happy to watch TV with its picture quality.

Sound is really great against as I expected by going through other reviews. You can notice Bass, Treble & crisp of Sound. Ultimately its pleasant.

If you want to buy this TV, make your decision fast. Due to falling Repuee, TV price will soon go up. I had to pay 2.5K extra coz Rupee climbed from 55 to 60. on 14th (I booked on this date), Rupee was 62.6. Now its near to 66. So soon Samsung will revise its price again.

If I find any more features or issue, I will update here.

Congratulations @bibhupanda1 :) Have the same TV and I love it. I's a great TV and has all the features that I'd have wanted. Haven't used the #D much after the initial 2 weeks tho. But am sure you'll love it.. congrats again :)

Congratulations for being a proud owner of Samsung 46F6400. I am also looking forward to get the same model pretty soon. I might be getting a deal for 92K. Is it a good deal without 2yr extended warranty and only 2 pair of samsung 3D glasses (as offer was valid till 25th Aug only)?

Based on your usage so far, any comments regarding the SMART and 3D features are welcome.

I have the 55 inch version of the same and for the price the tv has fantastic picture quality once you play around with the settings. Blue rays look detailed and vivid. i compared this with the sony w800 and its PQ looked superior to me.
The online features are vast and fairly well joined . Works well with the inbuilt wifi. You tube streams without any hiccups. I do recommend a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse for a more wholesome experience.
3d i am not to interested in so havent gone ahead to see how it works.
overall for the money this tv has it covered fairly well.
 
Well @ Niks, My usage has been so far good. Did some digging work. Actually I wanted to have attached a Sub-woofer system to My TV. Here is one observation. If you connect STB to Sub woofer, the Audio between both TV & Sub woofer have some delay may be around 50ms. So what you feel is an echo. Actually I really liked that as if you can adjust properly the Sub woofer & TV sound, you can enjoy the echo.

My observation is that this TV takes some time to produce picture & sound and hence the delay between both the sound is appearing. I tried to connect the sub Woofer to TV audio Out. But the F&D 2.1 model could not play it properly and also produced a high buzz sound. I wanted to check whether the prob is with F&D or TV. So connected to Altec 5.1 and there the sound was superb. Of course nothing can beat Altec but F&D is not that bad either as if I connect F&D directly to videocon STB, there is no prob at all. crystal clear sound. Infact I am using this setup right now. Only thing I am missing is No sub-woofer while playing TV content. :sad:

I will check it out why that loud buzz sound is coming. Some ground point must be missing.

Another observation is very little dark shade at all 4 corners of the TV. You can only watch it when you focus there. My wife didnt notice it untill I told her. I had a bad doubt of being supplied with a defective / used TV. To check TV usage Hr, you must have the normal remote. This TV in India comes with Smart Touch Rmeote only. So bought a duplicate remote (RR Remote). Costed Rs.190/-. Opened Service menu (Info Menu Mute Power) and checked panel usage Hr. It was 250 Hrs. I thought it is reasonable as already 10 days was over and daily 2 to 2.5 hr will have this much usage Hr. only. :)

Then to verify dark corner, went to showroom again. Wanted to check how other TV looks at corner. There I got the catch. Actually when you see TV in showroom, you can notice that all corners are covered with some tag. May be TV feature, New arrival, Price & model info etc etc. We hardly notice the corner then and watch TV at centre. What I did is I pulled 2 Tag and noticed the same dark spot at corner. Got a relief. Actually I was aware that edge lit TV will have a light dark corner. But to be frank I thought why this should happen to my TV. you know.. :D

Got some more 3D content and watched them. Effect was awesome. I am happy for 3D experience. Planning to download Avatar 3D as this is highly recommended 3D movie to watch.

@ bibhupanda1 - Thanks for sharing your views and experiences. My main use would be DTH HD and running through SMART apps.

Did you explore all the 'SMART' features? Any issues while using Youtube videos or running through other apps?

Also I am confused that is it really worth spending additional 15-17K for getting 3D features? Shall I opt for 46F5500? :)
 
@Niks... F5500 is a good model. Look, 3D is good but the prob is you wont be watching it all the time. Have a demo for 3D. If you are really blown by the experience, go for it. Else you can park your 3D requirement.
I recently watched Avatar 3D with family and all enjoyed it. But to be practical, you wont be watching 3D daily. So choice is yours.

@Srin... I will upload service menu picture where you can see usage hrs. You can also try it yourself by exploring all available options. Be cautious not to change anything. Well one thing I noticed is once you enter the service menu, all audio & video configuration changes to reset condition.
 
Hello All.

A short update on the TV. 3 Days Back My wife spotted a 2 X 2 mm black spot on TV. She did her best to remove it by wiping. When it came into my notice, I could figured it out that it is a PIXEL burn. Informed the Service Centre. They visited today. They are planning to replace the panel with in a week or 10 days.

Now guys, Shall I be happy? Actually I am not happy for changing a Panel with 2.5 months of ownership. Lets see what happens next.
 
It's not something that would happen often. The only question i have for you is, do you have extended warranty from Samsung. If not please give them a call and buy extended warranty for 3 more years from samsung to be on the safer side and have a peace of mind.
 
Finally TV panel Changed Yesterday. Service Guy was saying 46 inch panel costs around 34K. Well I asked price of main board @ 12K & power supply card 6-7K. Thats all in the TV. Gosh..!! Thats all? I asked if I assemble all these parts, then the price will be much cheaper than buying new one...!! Service guy just smiled..!

Well coming to panel replacement, I dont think they are professional. While mounting the TV on wall, a screw fell down. My god.. how can they be so careless? Picture came fine at the first moment and they left.

After they are gone, I checked panel Usage Hrs.. and its 864Hrs.. I was shocked to see this. I bought TV on 15 Aug. Yesterday was 12 Nov. At least 25 days I was out of station with family in this period. So hardly We watched TV for 2 months. and in 60 days, 864Hr is very difficult. I immediately called the service engineer about usage Hrs. He said as Main board has not been changed, so usage Hrs also not changed. I enquired whether they supplied old repaired panel, to which he denied saying samsung dont do that.

Then I focused on Panel clarity and friend thats where I got disappointed. I was seeing a shadow near logo of HD channels and SD channel content was even worse. I was not able to read any font after a perticular small size. All are distoreted in the sense letter were not in complete shape. Upper & lower boundaries of letters were omitted. In staright TV is not avle show any thing of small size correctly.

I immediately called Customer Care. That guy asked whether the service guy did configuration in your TV after Panel installation? I said NO..!!! He just mounted the panel and left. CC guy said ok, I can understand in that case that TV screen will not show clear picture. I will arrange one guy to do configuration.

Though I am relieved, I still have doubt will re-configuartion will restore TV picture clarity?

I forgot to update one improtant thing. That small 2 X 2 mm black spot had disappeared 3 days before. Service Guy was searching on screen and did not find any thing. However he changed the Panel. So my wife was saying unnecessarily we changed the panel. Now picture clarity also gone.

Just waiting for the Service guy..!!! Lets hope problem will be sorted out.
 
OMG, all these scary stories are worrying me which one to choose/buy! In coming 2-3 months, I will be buying 2 LED TVs of 55 and 47 inch. Kinda scared of 2Lakh rupees
