Finally I purchased Samsung 46F6400 on 15th August

My 2 cents, escalate in Samsung get ticket numbers, if not satisfied, start asking for a replacement set as your tv is hardly couple of months old. Second get extended warranty on your TV, so that it safeguards against any issues for the next 3 years. The cost for extended warranty would be a fraction of your tv cost.
 
Finally TV panel Changed Yesterday. Service Guy was saying 46 inch panel costs around 34K. Well I asked price of main board @ 12K & power supply card 6-7K. Thats all in the TV. Gosh..!! Thats all? I asked if I assemble all these parts, then the price will be much cheaper than buying new one...!! Service guy just smiled..!

Well coming to panel replacement, I dont think they are professional. While mounting the TV on wall, a screw fell down. My god.. how can they be so careless? Picture came fine at the first moment and they left.

After they are gone, I checked panel Usage Hrs.. and its 864Hrs.. I was shocked to see this. I bought TV on 15 Aug. Yesterday was 12 Nov. At least 25 days I was out of station with family in this period. So hardly We watched TV for 2 months. and in 60 days, 864Hr is very difficult. I immediately called the service engineer about usage Hrs. He said as Main board has not been changed, so usage Hrs also not changed. I enquired whether they supplied old repaired panel, to which he denied saying samsung dont do that.

Then I focused on Panel clarity and friend thats where I got disappointed. I was seeing a shadow near logo of HD channels and SD channel content was even worse. I was not able to read any font after a perticular small size. All are distoreted in the sense letter were not in complete shape. Upper & lower boundaries of letters were omitted. In staright TV is not avle show any thing of small size correctly.

I immediately called Customer Care. That guy asked whether the service guy did configuration in your TV after Panel installation? I said NO..!!! He just mounted the panel and left. CC guy said ok, I can understand in that case that TV screen will not show clear picture. I will arrange one guy to do configuration.

Though I am relieved, I still have doubt will re-configuartion will restore TV picture clarity?

I forgot to update one improtant thing. That small 2 X 2 mm black spot had disappeared 3 days before. Service Guy was searching on screen and did not find any thing. However he changed the Panel. So my wife was saying unnecessarily we changed the panel. Now picture clarity also gone.

Just waiting for the Service guy..!!! Lets hope problem will be sorted out.

no wonder....i have similar kinda experience. earlier i had a 46D series LED TV which was a 2010 model. It got faulty (in warranty period) & then they replaced it with 46ES6200 - 2012 model. I spent around 7700 for extended warranty for 1 year for the new set. Since last 7 months i am facing one or the other issue. panel has been replaced 4 times (in average once in 1.5 -2 months) & board for once. I fought with them when i faced the problem 4th time that since they replaced panel for 3 times already, instead they give a new model :licklips: 2013 model but they had to say they cant replace tv when its under extended warranty & finally they replaced the panel only for fourth time. The warranty will expire by jan 2014 so it's better i renew it for another 2-3 years. These stuff are not stable. One must get extended warranty for it....not the dealer warranty. However the service from samsung is good & prompt though the tv's do not seem to be stable & cannot be expected to run for so long like the older crt's. I also have a 32inches lcd tv bought on 2009 & that too has gone bad now. it's out of warranty so i suppose i need to spend 10-20k on it now. Replacing panel does gives a feeling initially that the picture quality is not as good as earlier but just remember your best settings, apply them & let it run for few days & it should be good as earlier.
 
Well I didnt get any help from Samsung as they said there is nothing like re configuration. And the problem is I messed up something very badly with irritation. working hard to rectify.. !! :(

Thanks Bro! Well I have got 1 year extended warranty from samsung and 1 year extra from insurance compnay. total it is of 3 Years. But the last year will be only on Panel (By insurance company).

Samsung says they dont replace product unless its parts are replaced.
 
The TV panel is on Track. I had to calibrate after the mess I created. To calibrate Samsung Tv, you need a Check box picture and then calibrate. If you know it rightly, its a 10 Second process. Else will take hours. After calibration, I feel panel looks a bit better.
