First HTiB system! Need advice :)

Hi all, I am planning to purchase my first HTiB system. Currently, I am using Logitech Z-5300 speakers (5.1 analog). My 32" Samsung series 6 HDTV is connected to PC and PS3 Slim. I want a system that will give me a great experience for games/ movies and music. Most of the time, I'll use them for games. My budget is ~Rs 25-30k.

I have shortlisted 3 HTiB:

1) Onkyo HT-S3500
2) Yamaha YHT 296
3) Denon DHT 1312XP

Please suggest me which should I go for. Also, which among these have better set of bundled speakers? What are their approximate market prices?

Would suggest you audition all 3 before you decide. Apart from the sound signature would suggest you look for:

1. HD Sound (Dolby True HD, DTS Master HD)
2. 3D passthrough and
3. Audio return channel.

Vijay Sales does have Yamaha so I suppose that can be auditioned!

But, it would be great if someone here can let me know if the speakers are good enough out of box. Someone who has already heard these or maybe have owned them?

All the above supports hd audio, 3D and ARC. It is recommended to demo all of them and decide what suits your tastes. Onkyo 3500 has passive subwoofer (amp is inside the avr) where as the others use active subwoofer (amp inside woofer).

suggest to demo all and then decide. But my preference would be denon 1312XP then Onkyo HT-S3500. I prefer the warmer sound of denon compared to onkyo.

Pune. Onkyo 3500 model is hardly to be found here! Also, Denon audition is also unavailable. Denon does have an active sub, right?

Try AV Xcellence on Dhole Patil Road, they should have the Onkyo HT-S3500.
