If the package says "Extended edition", then the BD will have it. I doubt that it will be censored.

Friends, planning to buy a 3D content movie. Heard about Avatar is best in regards with 3D content & POP Out. In INDIA 3D BD are quite expensive... Hence required your expert suggestion.

Recently bought "IMAX Under the Sea" from amazon.in when there was a sale for Rs.799 approx. Will watch once I have 3D BDP.
Could not find "Hugo" in flipkart or amazon.in

I was able to watch IMAX Under the sea 3D in 2D mode in samsung F5100 2D BDP.

Is it applicable to all 3D Blu rays. Can I play any 3D Blurays in 2D Mode in 2D BDP?
Planning to buy Life of Pi 3D.

Not always. Let is assume that you buy a movie package of 3D movie or documentary. So, in some package, there is a BD that contains the 2D and 3D versions on the same disc. At other times, the package will contain separate discs for 2D and 3D. Sometimes the package will contain only 3D disc.

1. In the first case, a 2D player will play the 2D version part automatically ignoring the 3D version. A 3D player will display a menu - play 2D version or 3D version.

2. In case 2, the 2D player will be able to play the 2D disc only.

3. 2D player will not be able to play this disc.
