For the bedroom...

Ok so here is what I am looking for. I already have a 7.2 setup for the living room as can be seen in my signature below. Note the 6 TB NAS !!!

Now for my bedroom where I have a Samsung 42" I am looking for something not so elaborate but decent sound when watching soaps and VH1. I also importantly want network connectivity for DLNA from my NAS. Not necessarily wireless.

I recently met someone wanting to sell Sony E980 HT system (reviews here Sony BDV-E980 3D Blu-ray Home Theatre System - Tech2) at a decent price. It has hdmi in and out as well as network connectivity.

Just wanted an honest input since I have never used such HTs. Looking at a budget of not more than 15K

Why not look at Sound Bar which can offer virtual surrounds. I think this would suffice your requirement rather going for a HT where you will have to end up doing wiring and stuff in the bedroom.

I am not sure sound bars will have network inputs. I need this because a lot of my stuff is on NAS.

I doubt... my search has not yielded any soundbar with network connectivity and not even HDMI in and out ports.

I doubt too, network options in a sound bar is not present. Not sure if very high end sound bars come with it.
So that greys out the option of SoundBar
