This is kind of a weird post. It's a recommendation request for my father. He had a Sony Hi-Fi music system, this one - https://www.sony-asia.com/electronics/support/audio-systems-mhc-series/mhc-gzr8d/specifications. Some component went out and Sony declined to repair it since it's a discontinued model and they don't have the parts. He took it to a few local repair shops and they couldn't repair it either. He connected this to the TV. He also used it for singing. These kind of Hi-Fi systems aren't available anymore. He's looking for a setup similar to this one. Multiple devices are okay, as long as they're in the budget and satisfy his requirements. Here are the requirements:
1. Has 2 mic inputs
2. Has configurable sound effects, especially echo and reverb (he uses those during singing)
3. Connects to TV

He does NOT want a soundbar or karaoke machine.

I think a combination of an amplifier/mixer and a set of speakers is probably the answer. But I couldn't find an amplifier which had configurable echo, reverb or even 2 mic inputs. I'm not very knowledgeable about these devices. Looking at the experts here for suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Thank you! He would need at least 1 mic input. None is a deal-breaker.

I'm also looking to "upgrade" his system. These kind of systems will work and are fine, but he's an audiophile, so I'd love to have a good set of speakers and an amplifier/mixer with the required features for a better experience.

The second link has Mic inputs. However, yes it makes sense to get him something better and that would be a good set of speakers and an integrated amp at the minimum.

To connect to the TV, I assume its a smart one and would be sending out HDMI Arc or Optical. S.M.S.L - PS100 could be a good starting point as it accepts HDMI ARC from TV.
