Fosi V3 Monoblocks launched in India but.............

why are they selling the defective units at the first place ?
Must be easier than recalling and repairing 😊. Also the problem apparently comes into play when used in a multi amp environment like a Home Theater but whatever. They should have put a disclaimer atleast on all websites selling the product.

These are units that have already left the factory and lying at distributors and resellers. They have already gone through a complex process involving shipping, custom clearance, taxation, etc. Recalling such devices will be a big financial burden for something that is so damn cheap and where margins are very low.

@mbhangui @Amarendra , there is another version as Fosi Audio ZA3 with volume control, mostly integrated amp.
What's difference b/w these 2 apart from volume control as both use same chip?

V3 Mono has implemented PFFB. This gives it better flat frequency response range across the audible spectrum.

Do monoblocks really make a difference compared to integrated ones?

The only difference I find is inter channel leakage doesn't happen. Here is a simple example to find the leakage

1. Disconnect the left RCA input and disconnect the Right speaker connection.
2. Play music and you will find faint output on the left speaker. This will be the right channel being played on the left channel.

If you repeat the above with two separate mono blocks, you will not experience left channel leaking into the right and the right channel leaking into the left.

For absolutely zero leakage the entire chain should be mono units. There should be two dacs one producing the left output and another producing right output. I don't think there is any mono block versions of dac in the world today. Similarly, If you have a preamp, you should have two preamps, one for left and another for right.

So practically you will never achieve 100% separation of right and left channels. But audiophiles are a finicky species. They don't think through. Just mention that mono blocks are good, they will all jump into the bandwagon like herd of sheeps.

You may ask me why I got the mono blocks. Two reasons

1. I want to see how much speaker wires play a role. (My personal opinion is that make a cable with low inductance and resistance, it is good enough). I will be connecting the amps to the speaker with just around 10 cm of cable.
2. I want to make an active speaker setup.

V3 Mono has implemented PFFB. This gives it better flat frequency response range across the audible spectrum.
In addition, it has better specs:
ZA3 vs V3
SINAD: 89dB vs 93/ 101dB for RCA/ XLR
SNR: 106 dB vs 123 dB
Dynamic range: 106 dB vs 123 dB

Just ordered a pair of V3 from Concept Kart where, they're listed @ ₹11042/- per monoblock.

I too had ordered 2 mono blocks 2 days back and received them today. Not sure whether these are corrected phase stock, how to check it?
Thank you
Congrats :)

Connect them up and play a song with a predominant vocal track. After a listen, switch the polarity of one amp only. And play again. Which ever combination gives a stronger vocal at the center between the two speakers is the correct combination. Ideally if you can find a mono track on your streaming service of choice, then it will be more easily apparent.
