There is no reason to make big party over that, due to some strict terms I think now u only can buy some popular optical/disc player and head-cans. If that weight & size restriction is withdrawn then that will be sure a real threat or fear factor for the local audio dealer in India.

I just made an order from Amazon US for few Bluray items costing around $131. Amazon US provided an option of making payment directly in Indian Rupees. (However this doesn't apply to all items.)
That way we can save some money on bank's conversion charges on foreign transactions.

And here is how it works:

Item(s) Subtotal: INR 7,738.72
Shipping & handling: INR 2,165.20
Promotion Applied: -INR 2,165.18
-----
Total before tax: INR 9,818.88
Estimated tax to be collected: INR 0.00
Import Fees Deposit INR 2,080.14
