Like the perennial "Brigrade Chalo", can all of us meet somewhere, sometime..?

Monsoon is here...Chennai had a meet, so did bangalore. Now mysore is discovering itself.

I know lot of us are active and busy in our worlds - yet connected to each other through this forum.

Even if it is not a meet - it could be an evening over a cup of coffee and introduction to each other.

Just a thought..rest is all up to all of us.

Yeah, we could meet, lets decide the time. Monsoon in Kolkata wreaks havoc on streets the jam makes it impossible to reach anywhere in time. May be August-Sep will be a better time.

Me too, I am in. But agree with Rupam that monsoon makes such meetings very unreliable. If it had been outside monsoon I would have suggested Millennium Park / Outram Ghat / Scoop

Meeting at these places will be a great outing and get together but will not be an audio meet. Although it is alway nice to get to meet with forum members but with audio would great. Isn't it? All of yours opinion please.

I agree with Koushik.. an audio meet will server the purpose of allowing us to meet both members and some audio gear as well :clapping:

Kudos to OP for bringing this up.. there are quite a few members in this city and a meet, if properly arranged, will be a very enjoyable and enriching experience.

As discussed with another FM today morning, we can first arrange for a small get-together where we can go over the specifics of the meet, decide on how the responsibilities can be divided etc. Frankly speaking, most of us have different commitments, and hence it is important to understand who can play what part in making this fruitful.

I think the final meet should be better held around Pre-Puja time as the weather will be much soothing than now.

Alright guys,

How about 15th August. I am thinking this, as it will give ample time for others to join in ( those who have not yet seen this thread) and it will be pre-puja as suggested by one of us. Symbollically, it will be our independence day from our mundane lives!!

Personally, i am not in favor of "with audio" because i think before arranging and sharing responsibilities, why not ave a working committee meeting - which is precisely what this could be....

What say, gentlemen?

Even I am very excited to meet fellow HIFIvians, but distance is a hurdle,as I will have to travel 600+600 kmps.
