guidance needed for establishing connection with onkyo ht s3300

hi everyone,
i have a lg crt 29 inch tv. (LG 29FE5RGE5 Color TV - Enjoy big size entertainment with adavanced features like XDP,XDS - LG Electronics IN). i dont want to dump it right now and wanna use it to connect my htpc and onkyo ht s3300 to it to see movies etc. it has a component in and i dont know how to set up a connection between pc and tv or pc to htib and then to tv.
plz guide me.

The only problem in your setup is the TV.
If the TV has only composite or component inputs, you are out of luck.
To connect it to the HTPC you would have to purchase a VGA to composite/component converter and on top of that to get correct color reproduction you may have to purchase a transcoder.
You would be better off purchasing a graphics card with TV out or a TV tuner card then you could directly connect the TV to your HTPC.

For Onkyo HT-S3300, just connect it to the HTPC via HDMI.

No.
Because HT-S3300 doesn't convert between video formats.
So you cannot connect HTPC to HT-S3300 via HDMI and then HT-S3300 to TV via component or composite.
