Guide me to get HT

Hello all,

I am planning to buy home theater and budget is around 20000. So, can i get any decent HT in that price range? Plz guide me. Is it worth to buy sony ht which are getting at 20k or is there any better than sony in that price range?

It is always adviceable to go for the 'separates way' when planning to buy a HT system. To overcome budgetary constrains we can always build the system step by step.Always buy the required equipments, in this case for a HT system, from companies who specialise in making them.
Equipment list for a HT system can be
* Big screen TV or Projector
* A/V receiver or Pre-Power Surround Amplifier.
* 5.1 or 7.1 or 5.2 or 7.2 speaker system.
* All the required cables and interconnects.

Don't buy Sony HT. For 20K you can get a Yamaha 196. Increase the budget to 25-30K and you have many options like Onkyo 3400/3500, Denon 1312XP, Yamaha YHT298 etc.

+1 to Baiju. Stay away from the likes of Sony, LG, Samsung, Panasonic, Philips, etc. Increase your budget by 10K or so and invest in a better HTiB such as Denon 1312xp or Onkyo 3500 or Yamaha YHT 298. If budget is a constraint today, save now and buy later.
