can you please help me in some of my queries regarding your purchase?

1) Does reliance digital give extended warranty for this ? did you purchse .. if yes.. how much additional did it cost.. and what does the extra warranty covers.. is it with the same terms as with the original one year offical manufacturer warranty? do they provide their resQ service for this item?

2) is yamaha known to fulfill warranties well.. i am really worried of the warranty served. in delhi.. as in delhi, there is one local sapphire electronics in my area which is listes as the official warranty provider for yamaha.. as you have gone for the purchse .. do you have any more details about the warranty..? in which area are you..

3) is it ok to buy this from snapdeal or infibeam.. ON their portal they only list the initial one year manufacturer warranty.. and dont talk anything of the extended warranty.. is it possible to purchase from them and apply for extended warrnaty from some other third party??

Reliance digital provides ResQ extension of warranty, no Yamaha extension of warranty. As per Yamaha, the in warranty repairs would be carried out by ResQ people i.e. for 1st year, when the product is out of warranty then Yamaha service centers.

I too purchased Yamaha over Marantz as Yamaha has more number of service centers so more options. At least if one is bad even then we have option to go to other. BTW service in India is nothing to talk about be it any brand any product.

Better buy from Authorized dealers only, why take risks on warranty for 1k or so.

Bought Yamaha YHT-196 last week.
Just unboxed and installed the system, however getting strange problem, the Amp cuts off after a specific volume when listening with 5.1 setup. The culprit looks to be the Centre Speaker.

For Music - the music plays well for most of the Preset sound options but for 1 of the preset settings.

For movies, the amp cuts off when sound is set to 20 - 30% of the max volume in most of the preset sound options.

Did some R&D and figured out that all the modes where centre speaker is turned on, it does not works well and Amp powers off after a specific vlume. However if I switch to any mode where centre speaker is off. It works good.
Any pointer is any setting is incorrect or the setup is faulty or the hardware is faulty.

Was about to ask some questions regarding this but I see has been answered in other thread.
