It is sad that "Free Delivery to India" is over. The delivery charges for BDs are as follows:

a) Per Item 1.49

So if your package contains 3 items, the per item total charge is 4.47

b) Per delivery: add 2.09

In the above case, if all your 3 BDs are delivered in a single delivery, 2.09 will be added. Hence total delivery charges will be 6.56. If the delivery is split into two, add another 2.09.

Why do you buy books from Amazon? International editions are usually costlier than Indian editions.

Do not worry..sometimes it gets delayed by a week..but you should be getting the same. You can check with your local post office with the amazon invoice/order number..

without any customs I got it

Sorry for the off topic, yesterday I had ordered 3nos 3D movies from Amazon.UK. Shipping charges of 6pounds were also charged....So does it mean i have to pay customs duty here over and above this? Thought since shipping not free, customs duty also not there. Pls clarify..

The answer for you is (unfortunately), "Yes".

The customs will look at the packing label on the top of the package and will use the total value including shipping as the cost of the merchandise.

However, if you marked the package as a gift, you may escape customs duty charge. Note that the package must be marked as a gift and not the invididual BDs inside.

i doubt marking as gift would help evade the duty, had marked all my packages as gift but CD was charged. May be you can try marking as gift AND getting it gift wrapped. (you have this option at check out).

But I believe this gift wrapping in amazon, Uk is chargeable. I think around 2 pounds. Then I think it will add up to your total amount and if you are unlucky you get charged customs as well even with gift wrapping then there is no use to gift wrap it. I think it is purely based on luck. When I ordered the BD's I just put in gift message and no customs was charged, may be i was lucky not to get charged. There are people who have marked it as gift but still charged.

Last time with free shipping,they had charged me 1100rs for 36pound order value..This is 32..so same charges as last!!!
No more ordering from amazon UK..Since SAMMYS ADVENTURE was available only in UK,i ordered it..This disc is considered to be the best in 3d.
Will wait and see.
