In the US I believe they have come down to as low as $70 shipped for 2TB internal drives.

I had to make so many rounds to get my project report printed

You reminded me of my college project reports. Those late night trips to the nearby DTP centers to get the project thesis typed and printed and then get it hard bounded

And BTW my 8 year old samsung HD is still running strong in my home PC and the WD passport HD is going to complete 5 years without any issues. Lucky me!

I am presuming for such large disks, you need speeds > USB 2.0 and I dont have USB 3.0 port. But correct me if I am wrong?

I used them, but they shipped one bad HDD. Its still lying at the warranty place. If you want a good deal/service (dealer can replace the drive asap) , then buy local. The same or better prices are available locally

I have bought a WD 2TB USB 3.0 from letsbuy.com (yet to be delivered) for Rs.5,524 (Rs.6499 - 15%) on 18th March.

Also bought a "2 ports USB 3.0 PCI-E Card" from eBay.com (HK Seller) for USD 15 (Rs.700) including shipping to India (yet to be delivered)
