Heights of Cheating

While it doesn't make sense, I don't think its cheating. They are telling you the price before you buy, right?

Denzong,

Only the 32 gb one is priced higher by 4k. I think how it works is that for official networks the phones are cheaper since plans are bundled and the telcos make their money this way. The airtel and aircel phones am guessing would be locked to the network. I think that was what the apple guy told me a year back. Future bazaar phones would prob work with any network without having to jailbreak. No official network status = higher price.

Regards

this shows ezone iphone prices more then the apple official release price. i mean how more can you cheat a customer.

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Well technically you can't say cheating, as they have listed the price and the product. But yes we Indians do feel "cheated" when we look at US prices !:p

I know e-Zone prices are insane(high). This store is close to my work place so I frequent it during my lunch break to check prices for stuff that I am planning to get. And once day when I was inquiring about 32" LCD prices(Panansonic 32C8 just in case you are curious; which was advertised @ Rs.17,999 iirc- and ofcourse it was out of stock) this sales guy had the guts to ask me that I always inquire about prices but never buy ! to which my reply was - match the prices which a local dealer quoted me, and I will buy. And the look on his face was - priceless ! (a mix of shame/helplessness/stupidity).
No answer from him - I "asked" for an answer(raising my eyebrows) and he retreated to his counter mumbling: "Woh toh humko permission nahi hai" (meaning - we are not permitted to do so<discount the price>).

And I walked out as a proud customer(who did not buy anything) beating a salesman at his own question ! :ohyeah:

To this day, that guy never looks me in the eye if I ever go there(E-zone).:D

I was wandering in a certain well-known British consumer electrics store once, when I chanced to overhear a salesperson specifying the conditions on which they would, and would not, accept returns. As I passed, I muttered to the customer, "Legally, that's absolute rubbish he's telling you." The salesman wasn't pleased :D

Anyway, I passed on quickly, and I don't suppose it made any difference to the sale.

Prankey G,

We in India, have the habit of adding "jee/G" to everybody - Sonia G, Manmohan G, Mayawati Behan G... Parle G
(You remember the dialog in the film "Welcome").

So why not to iPhone? :lol:

wish we had similar laws in India. But laws are anyways no use here.
