hello all iam in tamilnadu state , india, i want to buy new tv, in 46 inches,iam confused to buy sony or samsung in top models so pls help me in this situvation, sony 46kdl-w950a or samsung 46 f8000 other option is samsung 46f 6800 pls help and suggest which is best those bought the tvs for mem. i watch all programs in free time in the home.

Why don't you take a demo of both and decide yourself? As for me am very happy with my 46W950. Don't know much about F8000.

go for the sony , samsung isnt in the same league when it comes to picture quality , yes it has subtitle support

for samsung 46f8000 one of my friend says he will able to buy 15% less than dp rate ie 128000 itself with bill. in showroom but for sony till now i dint see the demo of 46w950a.all tv shop persons says buy samsung it has Clear Motion Rate 1,000 and qudacore and smart tv but sony is only motion flow 800 only and not a smart tv and cannot update if samsung means u can change the evaluvation kit in future with out changing the tv by oled or uhd like that confused.all shopkeepers says u order and give advance we order the model .their is no display in my city to check the quality. here they show mw only sony means below kdl-800 in samsung means f6400 series only.thanks for friends for Suggest me.

Samsung F8000 is a fantastic tv however evolution kit and all is more of gimmick .....compare tv with price and picture not on evolution kit....For your info kit only enhance smart feature .....it has nothing do with PQ....In future you can buy a good media player to upgrade smart feature instead of evolution kit ..Any day they can beat a smart tv wrt price and feature...You cannot go wrong with either samsung or sony in IMO....If i were you would have going for samsung offer ....However you need to take final call...

I had pretty good time with W950.
I am sure now only two options for the best LCD panels. thats W950 and W850, later is cheaper and larger (1 inch) under 50"
Dont fall for Samsung's typical feature gimmic. (you check with android users... same life.. a lot of features.. best for first few hours.)
I could see almost same color depth like CRT on W950. It plays almost all using USB or network Media share. Superb speakers.. no need a HT system if you are not looking for surround experience.

But if you are looking for the best picture, then it could be Panasonic Vierra plasmas.

During my recent demo I got a chance to see 50S60 in one shop and 51F5500in nearby brandshop. I felt like SD viewing was better in 51F5500 than 50S60

Surely SD in S60 was not bad at all.

Hi,
I have bought SONY W950A last week. I am unable to check the TV usage hours. I could not find any Display button on the remote to proceed further (Display --> 5-->Volume(-)). I need urgent help because I seriously doubt that it might be the display unit.

Please help me...
