Hello from a technically challenged music lover

Hi folks,

Am a normal guy with zilch know-how of the technical terms associated with audio. Just interested in listening to nice soothing music and have started the pursuit of making a 2.0 setup for my music listening that can also double up for normal TV viewing. No DVD at homes so no need for a 5.1 setup.

Am sure for music most FMs will recommend you to go for a Stereo Integrated amp and speakers combination. Based on your budget you can decide after you audition them.

Along with a friend recently we auditioned Floor Standers pair by Onkyo SKF 4800 at the Onkyo store at Forum value mall Whitefield. Price was about 22.5k. I can only comment that it did really sound good for me, as I have not tried other speakers in the same range, my judgement may not be accurate. He asked my friend to get his own songs to compare and listen and then decide.
