Hi All

I have been long looking to setup a tiny studio (for my own personal non-professional recordings) which will also double up as my family music/movie room. Being in Mumbai i am somewhat lucky that i have a room to spare for this.

My present setup:
I have my PC with 14" display and keyboard & guitar to start with.
I have an old DAPIC computer amplifier and speaker with wooofer all for 2500 about 6-7 yrs back ... it is suprisingly good but lacks clarity at the high end and low end .. need to upgrade ....

Some of new songs like Things Left Unsaid - Pink Floyd and some Nickelback have an ultra low bass drum sound.

My room size is 8x10ft

What do I need ?
1) Some basic sound treatment for the room to keep the sound true
2) to minimize disturbance to neighbours (I can use a headphone after 10pm) but how do i prevent outside noise creeping into my recordings.
3) an amp
4) book shelf speakers
5) a sub-woofer
6) a 27" display monitor (Rs.16000)
7) a wall adapter for the display to swing it up and down to adjust with my position sitting/standing.
8) a sofa or floor level diwan for family viewing

how much would the amp, speakers and sub-woofer cost ?
I am not particular about brand but performance yes I am particular about it.

Hi, let me start by welcoming you to our forum.

Please mention your budget for each, room treatment, speakers etc.

Do you have the appropriate software ?

What computer system do you have ?

There are tons of choice, mostly boiling down to budget.

Cheers.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
