I recently discovered this wonderful forum, this coincided with my renewed interest in music. The last several years have gone by listening to In-Car music or music played from the PC onto an Altec Lansing 2.1 system.
My current setup in the bedroom is a rarely used 10 year old Onkyo SR-600 and and a Bose AM10 speaker system (I didn't know better back then). I recently bought a Pure Accoustics RB1200 sub and a pair of Sonodyne Sonus 2605s and these have made a tremendous difference.
I also have an Onkyo SR501 from the US and I plan to set this up in the living room.
I plan to upgrade the receiver and Bose speakers over time and/or perhaps buy a stereo amplifier if it is appealing enough and interest builds.
