Hi,

I'm new to all this but i was looking around to have my setup run as good as i can, and i found that installing a 8 omh speaker on a 6 omh amp isent a good thing to do. becuase i want to play it on the safe side i tought i'd ask.

Now i have 2 speakers, each speaker has 2+ and 2-.

(i removed the bridges)

Do i
a) Wire the 2 + from the speaker in to 1+ from the amp (and 2- to 1-).
b) Simply use all the + and - ports of my amp and put 1 wire in each.

Where did the metal plate connecting the two positives and the two negatives go? If you are not intending to Bi Wire the speakers, that is connect two different amps to the same speaker, you need to have the two + and 2 - on the speakers connected. Then you would just run a single cable connecting the single + to any + on speaker and same for -ve.

8 ohm speakers on a 6 ohm amp is perfectly safe. Its the other way round where you have to be careful

Use a single pair of wires, put the bridges back in, and there you go

Removed, the sound was really bad with them connected. So wired everything now. So i have 4 wires coming from each speaker. 2+ from the speaker going to 1+ in the amp. And same with the -. But sinds i have 4 wires from each speaker and 8 entrances in my amp i thought could just put 1 wire in 1 plug. Seems logical to me. No?

  1. CONNECT the amp's A spk out to the low input of speaker
  2. bridge + low with + high on spk with golden plate or short wire
  3. bridge - low with - high on spk with golden plate or short wire
