I am in market looking for new 40-46 inch LED TV. (We have well lit room where Plasma would not do justice). I am looking at budget around 1 lac. I have following options in mind

1. Sony 46HX750
2. LG 42LM7600
3. Samsung UA46ES6200R

I am not looking for 3D features as 2D will be good enough. Will be used regularly for movies and sport.

Which one is reliable option ? Also is it reliable to buy it online from sites like Flipkart.com to save few bucks?

I hv a 6200, sd quality is shit, but hd is good. Flipkart is reliable.

Why not 47LM6700 or 47LM6400 instead? all models are more or less except Motion Clarity Index between LM7600 (MCI 800) and LM6700/6400 (MCI 400), which is hardly going to matter most of the time.

Between LM6400 and LM6700 the difference is only that that LM6400 does not come with wifi router and magic motion remote, both of which can be brought additionally..

Sony Bravia HX850 46inch @ 111500/-You wont regret it. Its awesome. Sony Bravia HX750 @ 94000/- It is also a very good tv but if you can buy Sony HX850 dont think of any other tv.

LG 42LM6690 is also good.. MRP price at 1,02,000, but dealers might price at a lesser price... chk that as well. its got built in wifi as well.

Even 6200 has inbuilt wifi. Hd quality and all formats playback is the best things on the TV.

I don't know - but the pictures posted in the review show huge light bleed. This is not expected of a top range TV.

Here's the thing............there is NO perfect tv. As good as any tv gets, there will always be somewhere it will fall short. Which is why it is best to do a lot of research. There are many review sites but this one is one of the good ones I prefer since it will do a very good post mortem on the tv. I would stand by it but also pls feel free to refer to other sites. Read some of the other reviews on the same site and you will know what I mean.
And what works even better than any site......are your eyes, always go for what they like!!!

What I meant was - are the pictures doing injustice to a top ranked, near top-of-the-line TV?

Hi,

I also have been looking out for a 40" LED TV and have shortlisted the models HX750 and HX850. Went to the store a couple of days back to purchase the TV. But just before I made the purchase, I was told by the sales person about one of the issues with the 3D.

If you watch the TV in 3D mode with your head straight, it's fine. However, if you tilt your head slightly towards left / right, the image gets blurred and you can't see any thing in the 3D mode. Having checked it, I have dropped the idea of going for that model and started searching for another model, most probably with passive 3D option, as with the HX750 / HX850, we have observed some flickering as well.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Krishna

Go for Sony HX850 .. it is really a great tv... Flipkart is reliable but go to local store especially Reliance Digital and Jumbo for discounts... hang around the store for few days and ask them how much discount they are willing to give then say them u got deal from somewhr else abt x price and like that that they will lower the price of tv to 1 lac 7k.

It is just the 3d glass problem bundled with the tv... costlier 3d glass wont have this issue and moreover there is no 3d content and 2d to 3d conversion is useless. But otherwise HX850 is the most awesome tv ever. :D

I would suggest look at Sony 46EX430 slim line or go for Samsung. I would strongly recommend you visit smaller stand alone store over big retail chains and or online, they will be able to offer you good discount on the list price. Few days back I purchased Samsung 46EH5000 from a store in Mumbai I was offered approximately 12.5% discount on the list price on any brand (with bill and 1 year manufacturers warranty), If you get lucky maybe you could get a 55" 1 lac or 1.10 or from the money saved you could buy a home theater or sound bar. Good Luck!!!
