I am looking to upgrade my HT setup and am hoping for some recommendations from the massive knowledgebase of the FM's here.

Need 5.1/7.x DD TrueHD, DTS-HD MA, DD, DTS and network audio streaming capability (DLNA etc.). Usage will be mostly for movies and some music. I don't have audiophile ears but, to some extent, notice the difference in audio quality as output by different audio equipment, so I am not completely tone deaf, yet.

Budget is upto INR 40K for the AVR. Need to add matching speakers but don't have the faintest clue as to what that would cost or what they should be. Help please. I will go audition, but appreciate some pointers in narrowing down the list.

I was considering the Pioneer VSX-823-1 or the VSX-923 AVR's but am open to other suggestions also. Any links / contact info' for stores in Bangalore or online are much appreciated.

Or should I just go for a HTiB. Even then which one?

Tell us what else you have. Are you considering buying the speakers and avr at 40k? or is it AVR only at 40K? if so wha speakers do you have? etc

Just the AVR upto 40K. Speakers extra if that's the way to go.

I currently have a rather ancient HTiB from Kenwood (HTB-504) and the speakers that came with it. Not sure if they can/should be re-used with the current lot of AVR's. I will get all new speakers if the old ones are not a good idea with the new AVR's, just that I have no clue about the art and science of deciding which speakers go with which AVR's.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
