I have a budget of 40k and want a full HD TV, right now the Tv's on my list are:

Philips 40PFL4758/V7
Sharp LC-39LE155M
LG 42PA4500

I have seen a Demo of Sharp Tv and was quite good for the price.
So please suggest me which one of these are best and incase if you have any other models to suggest I will be quite happy to listen.:)

What size you are looking at.If 32 inch I would suggest philips 6977 led TV with one year d2h HD subscription free. For 39 inch you can checkout the Toshiba which gives 3 year warranty.check their website.look for Panasonic 39 I nch led TV.They should come around 40k

Thanks for your suggestion. I'm looking for 40 inch TV. Do you know any specific model which has good performance in Toshiba & Panasonic.

I haven't personally auditioned 40 inch TVs.you can check Panasonic 39 inch
B60d led TV.Audition it with your own content.Sharp is also a good choice. There is natural color production.

LG 42PA4500 is a good plasma TV in the budget but it's not full HD. For normal SD viewing, it's a good choice. HD viewing will look good too.

Sharp LC-39LE155M is a full-HD LED and comes with 3-years warranty. But it has one HDMI port and one USB port so that's a limitation although it's not a big deal. PQ is good considering it's price.

Philips 40PFL4758/V7 is also a full-HD LED which seems to have really great PQ and everything. I've not personally demoed this set but it seems nice.

Demo all the units before purchasing. Take your own content with you in different formats and see what formats those TVs can play. Don't go for Panasonic, their after-sales service is awful. I haven't got my replacement in 6 months. Also check Toshiba, Samsung.

Samsung has 43F4900 which is a very good VFM plasma display with active 3D. I would suggest you to take a look at it. You might have to pay 1-2K more depending on your area. But I highly recommend it for demoing.

I took a look at LG 42PA4500 but the PQ was not that great compared to Sharp LC-39LE155M, maybe its because of the difference in resolution.

Philips 40PFL4758/V7 was not available on display have to search more stores.

Samsung has 43F4900 is out of the list, not willing to spend 40k on 720p screen and moreover i dont require 3D.

I will be mostly using the TV for HD movies and PS3 gaming so have to look which one will have least lag.

In my opinion the best option available to you is the Toshiba Cricket Series. The 39 incher (P2305) comes at a price tag of 40k approx along with warranty. It comes with a 100 Hz panel drive and a very good sound system. Moreover some offers are going on specially on this series. May you please check with the local dealer.
Happy TV hunting;)

Swarna, Thanks for your suggestion. But Philips 40PFL4758/V7 has a 120Hz panel, so it should be better than Toshiba right?

Yeah I agree.
Go for Philips without a doubt if it provides a extended warranty. Philips is not known that much for after sale service. Also all products marketed by Philips India these days are made by Videocon. So better invest in Videocon for much cheaper deals for similar specs.

Philips is better value for money. You can demo the 40 inch 4000 series in philips arena showroom in mount road. The 32 inch available in next showroom near croma in annanagar.Use your content and audition it.The PQ is very good but u need to calibrate the setting

Choose between Philips 40PFL4758, Philips 32PFL6577 or Toshiba 39P2305. All 3 have excellent audio and video quality

There are 40inch models from Toshiba. LED Full HD.
I have bought this one, PU200. Pretty happy about the sound and video quality. Another reason why I considered this was, it had a 3 year warranty.
The other model I considered was the LG Plasma (PN4500 i guess) which is something I almost finalised. But when I came across the Toshiba one, I flipped over my choice. the warranty being one of the major factors. Proce was 35k change abour 3 months back.

All philipps TV,s in india are Videocon products,so why not buy videocon directly, and why pay more for philips brand name

I own Philips 40PFL4758. Though the video quality is good, the audio is a BIG LET DOWN. You need to have a separate system for Audio.

I never came across a slim LED tv which sounds close to an entry level 2.1 speakers even! But the older backlit LED's had better sound divisions as they had enough room for bigger speakers. All tv's sound tinny now! Just look at the panel quality, add a 2.1 or a soundbar, simple:)
