Should I buy SONY AVR ?

Hi Friends.

I'm planning to set up a medium budget Home theater. My budget is around 30-35K for the setup.
Currently in US on a business trip and will be returning end of this month.

Need your advice on sony AVR. Are they any good? Have not seen many people using them in the forum though

keeping my eyes on Sony SVR DH830. This has all the features of DN1030 except networking. Do have a coupon to spend(unfortunately it can only be used with sony DH720 or DH830).

After discounts, price would be $325 including taxes.

Amazon.com: Sony STRDH830 Sony 3D 7.1 Channel A/V Receivers(): Electronics

I'm highly confused between Energy Take RC Micro and Classic 5.0 set of speakers.

From various forums, found that RC micro 5.0 set has a better build quality and also just 11 pounds in weight compared 19 pounds of classic 5.0. The apprx price for both is $150. Should I pick RC Micro or Classic

Im also looking at options like ishopinternational/aramex, but the cost seems to be going upwards at which I can get it in India itself.
Appreciate any expert advice and suggestions/inputs on speakers too

Thanks in advance
Ravi

You are asking about a receiver that isn't much popular among audiophiles & then complaining about not getting any help... As u have already decided on the Sony amp I don't think there are many ppl who will be able to advise u on the sq of any speakers u choose with it...

Ps u mentioned a good price with coupon of $325... It's available with free shipping on eBay for $318...

Thanks Rajdeep for the response.

The price in amazon was 398. The only compelling reason to buy this was a coupon I had. But now im thinking I must go with some other popular brand

Both speakers are great. But I vote for RC micro , for their size and crisp audio clarity. They are best paired with Denon receivers. Keep checking new egg website , they come up with irresistible offers some times.

Thanks a lot Kittu.

Will surely keep an eye on it. Missed the deal @tigerDirect for $60 :(

At Amazon it is hovering around $120-$140 and $10 for shipping.
