Hello friends, Happy New year,
Need help in setting up my Thorens/sansui setup. I have TD160MKII/SME Improv With fixed head shell & AT Cart. presently using the phono stage and amp from AV receiver Sansui QRX 7001 with National panasonic SD290 speakers. I would like to know the good alternative speakers vintage or new. Would like to have a good 4 speaker setup to find the quad effect on the sansui. Have come across JBL L40 in OLX. will this be good. and read about pioneer HPM 100 going well with sansui. is there any way to source these old speakers in chennai, and is it worth doing. or should I go new for the front and existing one for the rear. all 8 ohms. (sansui out put is 8 x 35w) if new , I can go up to 35 to 40k.
I listen to all kind of music. ex.with some bass where it is necessary.
can chennai friends give some time to audition your set up, (Anil,Mr.Murali& Capt can I call you) I am not too knowledgeable as you veterans, but you can still tolerate me.
regards
Arun
