Hi y'all,
I’m new to the audio world and looking for advice on buying a 5.1 surround sound system for my room. It’ll be primarily used with my PC, and down the line, I plan to hook it up to a projector eventually.

For now, my budget is around 25-30K (but I can stretch it a bit if there's something that's really bang-for-the-buck).

I’ve been reading around and some people suggested that I could start with a stereo setup and then add the center/rear speakers later. I’m open to this approach, but I’m not sure how to look for compatible components.

Any recommendations or advice on what systems/speakers to look for, compatibility, or even brands would be really appreciated!

Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi Robo, Welcome to the forum :)

with the budget you have, it is very hard to get a 5.1 system that sounds good. I would suggest you to start with a 2.1 system and upgrade later or save up and increase your budget and get samsung Q990 series soundbars.. I auditioned few of the HTIB systems few years back and there was no other system that can compete with the Q990 series.. I hope it is the cost effective way to get good surround setup..

It can do atmos and DTS X with 11.1.4 virtual configuration.
