Hi All,

Now I am planning to upgrade one more level up. i have chosen some Home theater listed below, my requirement is 80% movies and 20% music.
I prefer punchy BASS than booming bass

Please suggest me which one will be good for me.

(1) Yamaha YHT 299/2910

(2) Denon AVR (1910 or 1610 or which model ??) + Boston Acoustics SoundWareXS5.1B 5.1

(3) Onkyo HT-S3500/ or which Onkyo HTiB will be good

My Budget is around 40K.

Go for a good mid range avr .

try to get a excellent center and a subwoofer. Rest all our choice.

The best center i would recommend is Polk CSi A4 and sub would be velodyne impact 10 or 12. If you have more budget then you can go for svs entry level subs.

you will get a great movie experience if you have got the above of anything. satellite packages wont give the punch you are expecting in home theater.

Amit...

Increase ur budget a little and then try to buy a good mid range avr with a bookshelf pair for now. Later you upgrade the rest. As Kaptan said you wont get punchy sound from those models you mentioned.

Plz suggest me good mid range AVR ...that will work very good with speaker and woofer that you mentioned in your post.

but still If I have to choose from above listed HT then with which one I should go ??

Your Choice 2 seems to be very good. You can go for that if you have to.

But still consider mid range AVR with Bookshelf or Towers and then slowly add center/sub and rears.

But which one in above listed will be best for movies....Onkyo or denon or yamaha ??

act my room is small it is 15*12 and has less space available ...so want only small satellite speakers that's why I chose above listed HTiB. So which one I should go with for Movies ??

Infact I have a similar sized room, but i have setup a 7.1 in my room. I would suggest you to go with a good mid range avr from pioneer, denon, Onkyo marantz. I have auditioned a lot of entry level denon avrs, but they dont perform as the higher versions do.
you can try checking used avrs from our forum sale by owner. you can also try buying from us which would be more cheaper. then by a good quality bookshelf speakers. Later you can upgrade with a sub and surrounds.

AVR: 40k
Front BS: 15k pair
center: 10- 12k
Sub: 34k ( velodyne impact 12) or 30k for 10"
surrounds: 10- 15k pair

If you want a good music playback then go for a floor standers instead of bookshelves for the fronts. Later you can add another subwoofer to your setup when your budget permits. Trust me you will enjoy a lot in your home theater rather than in a commercial cinema.

try to get a best center and sub woofer. if you have given the best for these 2 then you you would never stop watching movies in your home theater. you will fall in love and get addicted to your system:yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:
