Hello all from Dhaka, Bangladesh. This is so nice to finally be here registered. I have been kind of visitor of many A/V forums qui for a time. I spent most of the time reading and learning from these well venerated forums. Over the time I have came across to so many great people who take a lot of time to answer a question, solve problems, and provide valuable opinions. I have browsed through hifivision several times in the past, especial while searching for quality Indian music recommendations.
I love experiencing both movies and music when they are of high quality. By quality I am referring to both technical as well as content perspective. Sometimes even this search for quality material (and equipment) seems like a worthwhile journey.
Will love to hear from you more.
Take care and stay safe in this difficult time.

Welcome to the forum. Do write about the music and audio equipment scene in B’desh.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. The audiophile community in my country is rather small. The equipment market is also very limited. Only a few shops are selling hifi gears. Usually, the government import taxes are too high for this kind of products. Because of this tiny market, we do no have distributors from many famous brands. The few shops I mentioned often represent number of brands. Many audio enthusiasts bring the hifi gears from abroad while getting back home from an overseas tour.
That been said, this nation is very much music savvy. They consume music whatever form available. We have good heritage of rock music from 80s and 90s. We rich roots in folk, classical, sufi, Tagore and Nazrul songs. We are proud organizers of yearly Folk and Classical music festivals. The world is almost open to Bangladeshi people. Beside consuming own music, our people are aficionados of music from India, Pakistan, and western countries.
Although I would put myself as genre agnostic. Hence, Jazz, classical from sub continental root ( western classical sometimes), classic rocks, Ghazals, selected country/folk, selected OSTs, and instrumental music occupy my play list most of the time.
My gears are very humble. Here they are-
Display: Sony Bravia 55” 4k X8500c and Epson EH- TW 5350 Full HD, 3D.
Streaming and Playback: iPhone Xs Max, iPad Pro 10.5 and Samsung Galaxy S 10+ through wired and wireless. Asus Zenbook 3, WD TV live, Xbox 360, Xbox One.
Services/programs: Foobar, Apple music, Netflix, Amazon prime and Amazon music currently active. Paused the Tidal and Deezer for two months. Will resume either of these two in June.
DAC: Topping D30
Amp: Denon x1400H, an old Onkyo.
Speakers: Polk Audio Tsx 550T, Bunch of Onkyo bookshelves.
Headphones: Audio Technica M40x, AKG Y50bt, Apple Airpods Gen -1, Bose QC 25 and Bose QC 35.
I shall put them in the signature later.

Good to have diversity in the forum. A few days back I was exploring exponents of Rabindra Sangeet (a form new to me that I instinctively liked) and found a few Bangladeshi singers too. Among the current singers I liked was Rezwana Chowdhury who happens to be from Bangladesh. I also discovered Nazrul Geeti and realised there are dedicated performers in West Bengal too. Music transcends.

Can you use this thread (or better, create a new one), appropriately titled) and introduce us to major Bangladeshi musicians across genres (folk, classical, pop/rock) that you like? You could provide Youtube video links to best performances of theirs. Please consider. Thanks.

People here also complain about high prices, limited dealers and few choices of equipments. Probably this is same scenario everywhere.
