I am new to this forum. I live in Bangalore. Hi to all!
Since I owned a Bose Lifestyle 28 series 1 system for a long time 7 years+, I never thought I would be looking at replacing. Any way with the remote of Bose dying (no replacement assured by Bose) and with HD and Blue ray coming to play, I thought I may as well put together a new home theater (music 50%, movie 50%) system by going the route of AV receiver + speakers since I already have a LCD HD TV and the latest PS 3; have a budget of Rs75K; want to look at a 7.1 receiver possibly a with 5.1 speaker set up to start with and add-on later if the space accommodates (the living room is only 12 1/2 ft wide and 25 feet long). Any ideas / suggestions on brand/models on these? Is the budget ok for a decent sounding speaker system or I need to push it up to Rs1 lakh? I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions/ideas, in particular the place(s) I should look at in Bangalore as I have not been in market for a while. Thanks a lot.
