Hisense has launched the 163-inch UX MicroLED TV, which is now available to pre-order in China. The model was announced earlier this year, and it was on show at CES 2025 alongside a smaller 136-inch model and the L9Q TriChroma Laser TV.

The UX MicroLED TV’s display has 24.88 million micro LED crystal cores, which are said to deliver a high brightness level of up to 10,000 nits. One advantage of this technology compared to OLED is reduced risk of burn-in. The model has a 3,840Hz pixel-level refresh rate, with 98% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and support for Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+and HDR formats. The TV’s obsidian panoramic screen with triple-layer nano-light film is said to reduce the impact of ambient light, with 3.8% reflectivity and a 170° wide viewing angle.

Plus, Hisense claims that this model has a unique dual-core architecture, allowing light and color to be controlled simultaneously. Features include a split-screen view, with accompanying split-screen audio feature, and a 6.2.2-channel sound system from Devialet, compatible with Dolby Atmos and DTS: Virtual X. Gaming features include VRR, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and two HDMI 2.1 ports supporting 4K@120Hz. Another claim from Hisense is that this borderless model has the thinnest body in the industry at 24 mm (~0.94 inches) thick. The Hisense 163-inch UX MicroLED TV retails for CNY 799,999 (~$110,372) in China. Whether or when this model could launch in other markets is unclear.
