The Hisense 116UX, a 116-inch RGB-MiniLED TV, is now available in China. This model was on show at CES 2025 and is expected to launch in the US later this year. Features of the Chinese version include a native 170Hz refresh rate, 10,752 local dimming zones and 6.2.2 channel speakers.
Hisense has launched the 116-inch UX RGB-MiniLED TV in China. Also known as the 116UX, the model was on show at CES 2025 alongside the recently launched 163-inch UX MicroLED TV.
The 116UX is the first model to feature the RGB MiniLED backlight, known as TriChroma, for brighter colors. It is said to deliver 97% coverage of the BT.2020 color space, an upgrade on an equivalent QD-OLED display. Plus, there are 10,752 local dimming zones and up to 8,000 nits brightness; this is lower than the 10,000 nits estimate mentioned earlier this year.
Blue light is said to be reduced by 38%, and the Obsidian Screen Pro removes ambient light reflections. According to Hisense, the TV has a 4K resolution with a native 170Hz refresh rate, supports Dolby Vision IQ and IMAX Enhanced, and is Pantone certified. This is a slim model, at less than 40 mm (~1.6 inches) thick, with ports including three HDMI 2.1, USB-C and Ethernet. On top of this, there is an integrated 6.2.2 channel sound system from Devialet.
The Hisense UX RGB-MiniLED TV retails in China for CNY 99,999. A version of this model for North America, with the Google TV operating system, is expected to launch later this year. However, the price of this product remains unclear.
