Home Theater in a budget of 50K (BENGALURU)

Hi Friends,

I am Building a Home Theater Systems in the budget of INR 50K.

Suggest need on 5.1 AV reviver & 2.1 Speakers

My initial build AV reviver with 2.1 speakers due to budget & later on will complete 5.1 setup.

Mainly I use it for music. (just out of curiosity are their any receivers which support video files like .mp4 or .MKV which can be played form NAS/Pendrive/HDD if so then i may use it watch movies)

What i have in mind is yamaha rx v477 but that alone takes up 80-90% budget.

AV reviver with network is must cause all my music collection is stored on NAS.

Hi,

There are a few AVRs which have the features and capabilities you are looking out for and they do cost a sizable amount. You need to first decide on what all you would like to have in an AVR.

Since you are based in Bangalore, you can audition many kinds of systems from the numerous Home Theatre dealers around. Brands like Cambridge Audio, Marantz, NAD offer excellent features, built quality and awesome performance when it come to music, movies and gaming...ofcourse they are a little expensive but worth every rupee spent.

A Blu Ray player would typically read all kinds of files through a 1 TB external harddisk and also play various kinds of discs....

If you are open to pre owned systems, you can perhaps refer to the SALE by OWNER section in HFV or refer to HiFiAds or other classified websites...there are some real good equipment being sold in good condition for a steal.....

End of the day it all depends on what appeals to you in performance, budget and appearance...demo as many systems as you can and then decide...finally you are the end user who will hear your kind of music and watch movies...
