Can someone please guide me what will be the best home theater system with 40k budget.

I am inclining towards Yamaha HTR 3067 + Yamaha NS-P40 Speaker.Should I go ahead with this combo. I am going to use these speakers with my Samsung TV.

Can these speakers be used alone without any amplifier?Sorry I am new to home theater system. So pardon my ignorance.

Yamaha 298 is listed in the for sale section by a member. See if that suits your requirements.

These speaker packages require amplifier (av receiver) to drive them. Can you share your room size, requirements movies vs music, etc so that you can get better recommendations.

There are quite a few similar recent threads. Do browse through them. And why do you say that yamaha 298 doesn't work for you. That would help the FMs to understand your requirements

My room size is approximately 200 Sq foot and My TV is Samsung Curved K6300 series. My main requirement is watching movies but I also love listening to music as well.

Reason I said Yamaha 298 does not work for me was the amplifier and speaker combination.I felt it is bit outdated and I can better package at 40k.

My room size is approximately 200-220 sq foot. My main requirement is watching movies but I also love listening to music.I will attach it to my Samsung TV k6300.

So amplifier is absolutely needed with all 5.1 speakers?

Reason I told Yamaha 298 won't work for me was because I thought it was a outdated model and I could get something better at 40k.

pls visit some dealers to understand workings of home theatre , take demo and see what is available at your price point.

Any suggestions? Also Anyone having any experience Yamaha RX-V581 receiver? Any reviews?

It is a very good receiver at mid level but it will set you back by 48k. Then the speakers, which will be most important. You have to increase your budget to 1.3-1.5L at least for decent 5.1 system based upon RXV581
