Home theatre for 1 lac

Hi Guys,

Im from Chennai, and looking to setup a decent home theatre with a budget of 1 lac. Pl. suggest a good setup. I would like to go for a projector and screen with this setup at additional cost.

20 x 10 then consider FS ( if ur crazy abt it).

AVR - Try Yamaha RX 673 or Denon 2113
Speakers - Check out Sonodyne or Polk or Wharfadale diamond or Jamo

Thanks, dont mind spending extra for projector. Pl. suggest a good brand and model, being a newbie finding it difficult to narrow down, took a demo for magnat in chennai was impressive for music but not so much for movies.

If you are considering floor standing speakers, then I would always suggest to go for AV receivers having pre-outs. Having pre-outs will help you to enhance your HT setup by adding power amp. As far as I know, Marantz SR5007 is an AV receiver which has 7.1 channel pre-outs for the AVR budget around 50k. This is just a suggestion and you may want to audition your speakers with other AVRs as well.

I suggest you go with Yamaha RX-V673 and Q Acoustics 2050. They are very good speakers. Do not use polk with Yamaha as the result could be bright sound which will lead to ear fatigue.

Dali zensor package also can be considered.They can go with Yamaha,Denon or Marantz AVRs.

htstore suggested i go for Denon AVR2113 Tannoy V4 package with
Velodyne Eqmaz 10 subwoofer, is this a good bet?

Thats a super package. I would say demo first then decide if you like the sound.
