Hi,

I am planning to build a 5.1.2 system overtime because of budget constraints. My current budget is max 1.5 lakhs. After doing a lot of research I have shortlisted the following ( I want to built a quality sound system)
1. Polk s55
2. S35
3. Denon Avr x2600H
4. Polk HTS 10 / BIC America Pl200 II / SVS Pb 1000
5. Rest will buy later.

For now I got a dealer quote of 1.16 lakhs for Polk s55 and Denon. With this I can only fit center speaker or a woofer.

I am looking for suggestions and recommendations.

I also see that many have mentioned that you get SVS PB1000 ( this is my first choice if I get it upto 40K) for 35K but I haven't anyone selling for that cheap. Can any one share the contacts or links?

Why dont you consider Polk Audio RTI A3's as LR and CSI A4 or A6 as center and A1's as surround and pair it with HTS10. You should be able to complete the setup just under the budget wtih the X2600H.

Is your budget due to a sudden cash inflow or savings over a period? If its the latter, setup only a 5.1 for now and look at adding the .2 later. As you havent given the room dimensions for typical HT listening, you can reduce the amount you spend on L/R and surrounds as long as you have matching centre of quality and a good sub. I think at that price point a used BIC might be more in range or a new TAGA.

An other option if you wish to consider would be to choose book shelf speakers from the same S series and complete your 5.1.2 set-up.

- S20 / S15 for fronts + S30 for center + S10 for surrounds + HTS 10 sub + AVR. Atleast a 5.1 set-up might work out inside you budget.. Later you can add a pair of heights..
