Hello guys,

I am new to this forum. I've been contemplating buying HT system for my 42 inch Panasonic Plasma. I am not an audiophile but understand good quality sound from a bad one.

I watch HD movies & HD Sports (Formula 1, Tennis, Soccer, etc) on my Airtel DTH. Can you guys suggest a good HT setup for the above requirements? My budget is appx 30-40k.

Can I chose individual components in this budget or is it better to go for HTiB setup?

YHT 299 is a good setup..also check with Denon DHT X500 (very good for both movies & music) ,its is slightly costlier than YHT 299 but u can get it in the price range of 40 ~ 42 k ...before buying make audition and decide it acording to your hearing taste...

Also u can check for Onkyo HT s3500 & HT s4505 ..before deciding.

When you are going for audition, get some audio/video clips with you if possible. And make sure the HTs there are on neutral settings. Most of the times these guys have these HTs with some settings enabled and then you feel like one system is wayyyy richer that other.
