Honda Jazz feedback

You have to understand that majority of the cars sold is diesel .To date i haven't seen myself a single new petrol swift(2011) on the road,its only diesel i see.

Its the same story with Honda brio last month jazz outsold the brio.The brio which was selling upto 3000 a month dropped to 600 cars last month.

As far as city vs vento,the city is clearly the better car.Consider the vento only if you want a diesel car.A nissan sunny would be a better buy then the cramped vento.

agree with the above, the vento is indeed very cramped.. ok where am i coming from?? last month i got a new city... I already own a verna so didnt really need another big car, was in the market for a small one..
Here was my take...

im a 6 footer... so
Polo was just too cramp for me. backseat, me and my dad just couldnt sit comfortably.
swift, good car, but didnt want another maruti, too many in the family.
Fabia, ASS and maintenance costs scared me.
i20-- Not sure y i didnt pick it but by then my mind was set on the Jazz
Jazz-- best fuel economy, best ride comfort, 2nd best spacing after the Fabia(most spacious car in its league, almost as spacious as a vento)
Jazz i was told atleast 6 mts waiting, and no they didnt try to push me the city... This was across all dealers. arya, apex, ichiban

Then i said F@#$it, lets get a sedan,
Swift desire - First choice - didnt like the new look at all.. end of story
Ford fiesta diesel (new one) - wow, and i mean wowwww to drive, but overprice for what they offering
Vento, rapid--- D best diesel engine in its class, but, They have this shaft that extends from the gear box to the HU. they say its standard safety. The problem was that my left knee would keep rubbing into it. I tried every seat position, just no luck// Sales person said that this is a problem, though extremely rare amongst tall people... crap... There goes that. But like i said, i could find much difference in space between vento and fabia.
Nissan - Fiat linea --- Didnt want either, never test drove.
Sx4 - City is better in every aspect apart from maruti Service stations

Also let me do mention that by now i had realized that this car will only be driven at night and short distances, Idea of diesel was almost dropped.


City Vs Fiesta - by now things had simplified, city's i-vetec engine is literally bullet proof and the space in the car is just amazing.. And that was that.

So did you finally buy the City ( I thought you mentioned you already had one). Jazz seems to have along waiting - Started off considering Jazz - found it quite spacious + decent looks. But waiting period is long. Thought of considering a sedan - test drove Nissan Sunny - very spacious - but dint linke the looks + limited feedback on the caar. Honda City vs Vento the next options - Honda certainly Mr dependable with a established track record (my parents had one) So wanted some thing different - liked Ventos looks + solid built - though comfort + space appears much better in Honda. Also Vento doesnt have a long track record in India yet.
So am quite confused - Jazz or City or Vento. Slightly skewed towards Honda after getting feedback from all of you.

I have one. Had the dolphin, have the new ivtec

Test drive a vento, very dependable car. If 4 people are gonna sit in your car, then vento or city or anything else wont matter. Also i hope you realise that the dezire and jazz are pretty closely prices and between these 2, i would pick the dezire(provided ur ok with the new look).

Pity about the delays on the Jazz, it's had a bumpy ride with wrong pricing initially , then the Thai floods. I too looked at getting one a while ago, but then opted for an SX4 instead.

Booked honda jazz select today Silver colour lucky me some one cancelled his order at the last min and i got it withou any waiting period hope there is no catch here like the various demo tvs issue discussed on this forum surely cars would not be prone to this !!!!!
