How good is Logitech Z906

I am planning to buy a cheap home theater and found only z906 and onkyo 3400 within my budget. My main usage would be movies i.e 80% movies and 20% rest.

Heard lots of brave reviews about z906 which is the newer model of legendary z5500. I would like to know how z906 would do when compared to Onkyo 3400?

Onkyo is far better better. But if u want for movies. z906 will do a decent job. I have one and satisfied (now) for watching only movies.

Buy Onkyo. It is more future proof with 4HDMI inputs a couple of optical and coaxial inputs, supports HD audio, 3D etc. The logitech has no hdmi input and does not support hd audio.

well between the two.. onkyo takes it for the fact of versatality ( hdmi) , audio support , dts-hd , dolby -ma ,

the sub of 906 will sure beat the **** outta onkyo for the price point but considering a total package onkyo is way ahead..

Logitech Z906, BASS performance in movies is awesome. better than onkyo 3300
if the room is small and closed one - logitech is best for movies

logitech is available for 13K in ebay.in

But for Music Logitech Z906 sounds like shit literally

if for pure movies, small room not a hall/living, go for it and save the money.

PS: i dont find a god damn difference between DTS audio from Z906 and DTS HD from onkyo 3300.
Give importance to HDMI and DTS-HD only if you are going for audiophile grade AV and Speakers, which cost a lot.
