How long will it take to get a replacement for your Panasonic plasma

Hi all ,
I have a Panasonic 42ST50D , with a broken panel. Panasonic customer care has approved for a replacement as the plasma is only 1.2 yrs old . I am not sure which model they will replace my tv with also how long does the whole process takes place . I have seen in the forum many sets getting replaced . kindly input your comments and suggestions

Keep your fingers crossed, they may give you a LED instead as there are hardly any stocks of Plasma left in the country. God knows even if they will have a spare panel part available.

So getting an LED for a plasma which is out of production , is it ok . If so which model I can opt for considering I paid 84k for my plasma an year back.Also I don't think they will have a 42" plasma any where .
Basically I am looking for the following
1. How long a replacement will take place
2.if they are offering an Led which model I should go for
3.do I have any other choice than a refund ( I am basically looking for a tv plasma /led with 3 yrs warranty)

Question is whether they have a refund policy, Samsung has and they do have depreciation buyback. Panasonic probably would replace the set with another LED or Plasma model.

They might give you the ET60 LED as replacement if they don't have a plasma model available.

The period for replacement depends. I'll be replacing mine with ST60 and waiting for the past 4-5 months for that. If you opt for LED, it will be done within 2-3 weeks as LED models are available.

If full refund is an option, I would get that and buy another plasma from open market. May be move from Panasonic to Samsung Series 5 or 8 as Panasonic plasma models are hardly available.

I don't think waiting for 3-4 months is an option now for me . If they r offering an Led I might have to go for it as we don't have a spare tv at home .Is ET60 a correct replacement for ST50D plasma . How about DT60 ?

DT60 is certainly closer. but they dont sell it in 42 size.
