Would be interesting to know who has seen how many, who has seen the most etc.

I have seen 135 apparently.

I have the short term aim of seeing all of the top 50 of the list. I have seen 23 of the top 25 and 44 of the top 50...

most of em i guessi do have them as well.. however was not able to afford buying all so most of them are downloaded stuff but i love watching movies.. almost one movie a day..

in top 50 - 6 not seen
50-100 - 22 not seen
100-150 - 15 not seen
150-250 - 39 not seen

total 82 not seen, 168 seen.

imo imdb isnt a "balanced" list . Heavily biased for US films. Seeing such problems as no hindi movie on the list etc.
You can say its more of a top 250 US list.

Maybe this is a better list ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Films_considered_the_greatest_ever#Countries

Reached this conclusion after trying a similar attempt at watching top 250 and got some duds surprisingly

There are many lists out there and there is no such thing as a best list. Each list has it's flaws. I am trying to finish the Top 50 IMDB, TSP and 21st Century for the near future. Other lists I track, though none very closely can be seen here.

You might want to check out this list for some classic foreign films too. I can't see recent films like Lives of Others there though.

@hydra,

Your profile gives me a clear 'target' and incentive to catch up on all the movies in my wish list ;)

Hahaha :) That website make us do that. For a while after I joined, I was like a bull in a china shop. Looking up movies, getting them and watching them, all with a sense of purpose. You seem to be a pretty prolific movie nut too!

I've been watching movies at the rate of about 4-5 a week since I can remember, but I must say icheckmovies makes me feel woefully inadequate as a movie watcher/nut -- there are sooooo many good movies left to watch just in the '70s and '80s, I doubt if I will catch up with them all in the next couple of years to come.

@alokbharti, nice profile. You seem to be missing out on a lot of the (not-so-) old-is-gold movies from the 60s, 70s and 80s though! You should try them out too!

i've seen around 50% of them but tell me are all of them worth watching? especially some of last 50 movies? anyone seen them all could shed some light.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
