How should I convert 220V to 120V and stabilize the power?

I just came to India from the US and have a 42" Panasonic plasma and some other sensitive electronics. I need to protect it all from power fluctuations as well as step down the voltage. Should I plug the the main power into a cyrstal plus stabilizer and a transformer into that? Thanks -

Dear Adams,

Also remember one thing while choosing the transformer about Frequency ( India-50Hz, USA-60Hz). Choose the write ones.
