I recently visited a mall with my family and guests and had a terrible experience. Without our permission some people just started clicking our photos using their mobile phones. By the time the guard was informed, some of those men had already disappeared.

After today's incident, me and my family decided never to visit this particular mall again.

One of my friends who works as a air-hostess also had the same complaint with passengers in various different flights. There are endless such stories where people use mobile phone cameras without even seeking permission from the person they photograph !

Any suggestions on how to avoid this menace ?

Beat the pulp out of those guys. Keep police helpline number with you all the time. Don't call the security guard, they're not gonna do anything. Call the police helpline and report the menace quietly and stay in sight. When police arrives (ask them to be in civil dress), point them to those guys, police will do the rest.

Obviously, this can't be done on flights. Most people in mid-life crisis do this, you can't do anything about it. Air-hostess can't just slap a passenger :|

Befriend one of them and tell him that you would like to take a selfie with him (make sure other photographers are also watching) and get his camera phone and drop it down making it look like a accident. Other photo enthusiasts would have already disappeared by now. Say sorry to this guy and walk away.
