How to convert passive subwoofer into active?

Hi,

I have a Sony STR-DH790 receiver which has a active subwoofer input but my subwoofer is a passive one. I have 5.1 speaker setup with 165W each. I want to utilise the same setup. So request for help.

Like @prateekatasniya said. get a class D amp that can drive 4 ohm loads.100 to 150 watts should suffice. It will depend on how much you want to spend to power that sucker up.
