HT bypass connection

Thinking (just thinking ) about a Emo USP-1 Stereo Pre-amp for integrating with my AVR. Intention is obviously to improve 2 channel sound. It has a HT bypass feature precisely for this purpose. Anybody tried this out ? Exactly how are the connections done ?

If you connect preamp to Denon 2310,you need to use preout of it & so cannot avoid Denon preamp.How can you bypass it?
