HT in 70-80k!!

I need to buy new HT in 70-80k plz suggest ! A
I watch movies 50% of times and music 50% !! My area is rectangle 20feet by 12feet !! I already have a BR player !! So I only need suggestions for 5.1 speakers and an Av receiver !! Also is the Sony bdv 9200w any good ? As it has all d features !!

Look at A Marantz AVR Which will be ideal for 50/50 Music/movies. You can start with decent Floorstanders and center speaker. Later add surrounds and subwoofer. Please do not look at conventional htib's from sony,lg,samsung,philips,etc. Going separates will be a good idea and will definately be better than any of these.

Since an AVR costs at least 30,000 so you are left with only 50,000 for 5.1 speakers. At this price you will normally get satellite speakers based 5.1 system

There are two exceptions
You can get a Boston Acoustics A2310 system (based on the A23 bookshelves) for about 40k
Boston Acoustics A 2310HTS Home Theater Speaker Package (Black Finish)

Or you can do a 5.1 system with floorstanders - the Pioneer Andrew Jones 5.1 system for about 55k

Both the setups have good reviews

Pioneer will give you better music playback through the floorstanders.
Though on a reputation scale, Pioneer is known more as a mainstream electronics company while Boston Acoustics is a proper hifi speaker company

An entry level AVR (Pioneer 523, Denon X500 or Yamaha 377) and you are good to go

All other "good" or "recommended" separate 5.1 systems are upwards of a 1 lakh (AVR not included)

Read reviews online and if possible, get a demo. Since you are based in Mumbai, you can listen to the Boston at MZ Audio Bandra
The Pioneer is very difficult to demo as stocks are very scarce

MZ Audio in bandra is the authorized marantz distributor. Also its not advisable to have wireless surround speakers( My view). Marantz Reciever will cost you upwards of 30K and with 50k You can go with BA A2310 Package as mentioned above. You must definately demo speakers before purchasing them as different people may suggest you different things. You have to audition and only then decide as to which you must be buying. Since your music + movies requirement is 50/50 you must definately look at floorstanders. Another option is the JAMO S426HCS3 which is a 5.0 package and you can buy it for about 25-30k and get a good subwoofer to complement them. I have heard the Jamo S426 + Jamo Sub 260 and it was mindblowing. I did not have provision for floorstanders or else i would have definately gone for the Jamo Package.
