Hi, I am in Bangkok. Got tempted to buy a tv. Sony 55" is available at 43,000. Similar model in Mumbai is for Rs 1,70,000. Please advises your point of view soon as I'm leaving on Saturday and really needing your help

In Bangkok..u got tempted by TV..amazing..get yourself checked after landing in India:D.

Anyway..TV you want to bring to India would attract custom duty and that would make your cheap buying expensive in terms of harassment too.
Later warranty would be a problem. Check on the net for custom duty applicable.

Customs duty will still make it cheaper than India. But really.. If I were in BKK I would screw everything else but the TV [emoji6]

Hahaha! Everything? ;)

Apart from customs duty, also account for airlines fees. When you say 43k, do you mean 43k THB? A duty of 36%(?) is applicable on that which makes it 117000. With no warranty support is it really worth it?

Hi Shuv, yes 43000 THB plus duty vs inr 167000. What do you think. In samsung saving is more. It's THB 30000 in shop vs Inr 156000

Hi why you need to take risk buy from India there will not be much difference after customs duty

Thai Airways is allowing free in baggage allowance. After paying duty on India price I can still save approx 40-50k on samsung models
