Ilaiyaraaja

just spoke to a distributor in Coimbatore and he informed me that Raja sir has already given rights for 50 titles ...12 audio cd's have already been released by Modern Cinema ..10 more CD's will be released by end of April

Any Modern Cinema Contacts we have? They need some serious advice. They could source Oriental\Pyramid CD's to press the New titles atleast, Also They could release in Jewel case or Digi pack with art work (non odor paint). It would be boon for Raja Fan Like me. I can pay even 300 per Title, if quality is good.

But who is going to take this information\feedback to them, is Big question.

Ilaiyaraaja's Music Journey was recorded live at the "14th annual Angelica, Festival Internatzionale di Musica & l'Altro Suono" in Modena, Italy, in 2004. It's a live orchestra' performance. In track(6) it is a treat to hear Illayaraja's live interaction with the audience in English, explaining each version he plays, while an interpreter translates same in to Italian language.

Dear Friends,

I am member since 2012, But I could not take active part.

I am a hard core Music Lover in general. A hardcore fan of Ilaiyaraja Sir.

Coming to the point, while browsing Google, Somewhere I found discussions about tamil ep and lp records members wanting and selling. Please give me the link and guide me.

I had about 2 to 3 thousand tamil ep and lp records together and I lost almost all of it, my whole 30 years of collection right from my childhood. I lost all my collections in the past 2015 end Floods in Chennai.

Now I have only a very few records in good condition escaped luckily from the floods.

Please members help me in retrieving atleast some of the lost collections.

Kindly help me out. Thanks and Regards.

Am very sorry for you, 30 Years collection lost in a day..

LP's are on costly Hobby now and getting rare LP of Raja in good condition is no way possible until u pay Premium rates.

I suggest to visit Moore Market to buy some decent Lp's. Dont go with any Online dealers blindly.

I have already shared this detail with you but would like to still share the same.

All the old 8 track recordings have been upscaled to 16 tracks and 16 tracks recordings are upscaled to 24 bit. You will for sure experience an enhanced audio quality and amazing sound stage. One of the IL fans is contributing to this initiative and all the sound tracks are FLAC audio uploaded as youtube videos (it's just the audio in Youtube). It's available online and it has close to 650 songs in the playlist.

Thanks for sharing, But I think I was answering to question, on where to Source the LP and not Digital Files.

I have listen to LP and CD and always feel Good LP beats any kind of upscalled stuff- Just my opinion.

I appreciate and support for the initiative but in few songs I felt the Soul is missing, Might be because I use earphone when played via You tube.

Out of innocence, I am asking. LP quality is better than digitized audio (like FLAC)?

Does anyone know why in Payanangal Mudivathillai, only Ilaya Nila has very good stereo recording. My source is oriental CD. I wonder whether it is the same in LP as well. Can anyone having LP/Cassette of that movie share the info please.
