Hi Folks,

I recently bought a pair of M9s (new series 7) and have paired them with Denon 1911. While I am enjoying my system very much and the 1911 has not disappointed me in any manner, I am very keen to understand which integrated amp will do well with these speakers?

Let's call this exercise an urge to spend money in near-future on this hopelessly expensive hobby :)

I read a couple of threads and it appears NAD is recommended for the Paradigm signature. However, most of them are with the Titan BS so wanted to get a view on these floor standers.

Any views?

Cheers

Milestoneseeker,
Now , this is interesting..... I have the Paradigm Monitor 9s paired with the Denon 1911 as well and am looking at amps! Apart from the NAD, am looking closer to home - Sonodyne, but dont know how to get to audition these amps with the FS

Paradigms being bright ,,, Warmer amps like those of NAD are suggested.... Denon AVRs also go well with Paradigms.. but I guess u want specifically integrated amps..

Nad is a good match for Paradigm's, Marantz is not a bad option as well . Infact warm amps would be a good match for Paradigm Monitors
Deshi brands are a option as well. However not heard Sonodyne, Pulz, Norge etc synergy with Paradigm.

Both NAD and Marantz will go well with paradigm. Choose an neutral interconnect and speaker cable if you choose Marantz then it will be fine.:)

Can u please exemplify on Neutral Interconnects... I have marantz (bright) and Aviano 6 (bright)... I got Chord Rumour 2.. I don know which category it falls into.. neutral high or warm...

Can u please provide some examples of all 3 types?

Nordost - bright( already there is explanation in other thread- It can be paired with NAD to get an rich sound if you dont want neutral warm sound which is produced naturally by NAD//// VDH & TCI Viper - Neutral and suitable for Marantz when pairing with Paradigm to reduce the brightness- experimented with above interconnects so can confirm. I have done equal testing with speaker cables too.

canchi,

I am actually very keen to try out Indian stuff now that my AV needs are not constrained by how long I take to figure this out :) Keen to try our Norge as well as Sonodyne. However, I must admit I do not have a realistic view to their sound signature. I may start off by pairing M9s with Marantz as I am partial to bright sound and hope to get an audition this weekend.

Any clue where I can get to audition NAD in Bangalore? As well as Norge?

cheers

Norge at vector systems and NAD at final touch.

Canchi, I guess you need to ask for a home audition or borrow from existing owners. If your Denon 1911 has pre-outs look for a power amp audition too.:)

To pick up this thread again, I did some quick checks here in Bangalore and I came to a realization that the integrated amps actually do not include a DAC :p Now, my intent of this stereo focussed exercise was to improve upon my current chain of BDP+AVR (including the DAC of the AVR).

So I did some further research for integrated amps + DAC and it seems this is not a very common setup. Any feedback from the forum members based on their experience on what brands/models are available in India? And at what price point?

Check if your Denon model has stereo preouts, may be you can go the power amp way. :)

Do you want to go the PC-DAC(Audiophile sound card) way or external?
