Interest Check - Bluray - Region Free- A & B

FYI. Some of title here (Cars, UP, Wall-E) are available officially in India for Rs 999.

The blu-ray ray scene in getting much better in India, in fact I would say better than US for some new releases, e.g I picked up Thomas Crown Affair from Landmark, though its listed for release on Apr 6 on Amazon.

Is that so ............ Am I paying not a worth Price?????

For ones available at 999 here, I think, it not worthwhile.

But a T2 at 700, Matrix trilogy at 1500, etc, are a decent buy. Assuming you can manage the region issues.

Hi Sam,

My genuine suggestion we should go with our mind:) In a lot there will be ups and down... Bourne trio /planet earth can never gone in this price range and bourne is selling for $50 / planet earth for $40... So benifit is there for some titles in huge and benifit for single is less;)

I believe with double mind we should not buy anything and better to keep out like these AV stuffs...;) Still if you buy something and however mine packing is tooo good and end with small crack in the case will lead to restless mind.

Genuine Suggestion to yrk1969 is not to compare Blu-rays available in India with other Blu-rays simply because OP is selling his friend's collection which was purchased abroad. In an interest check thread or in a sale thread, you don't say anything negative and discourage others. The OP is not a dealer, just a member who is an A/V enthusiast.

Genuine suggestion to you Sam is what Srini has suggested. Listen to all the advice, but still do what you want to do.

Just my two cents.

Even though these are available in India, I can bet these Indian editions will not contain half of the extras what we got in US/UK editions.
Personally if I have access to US/UK editions, will prefer them over Indian editions even for few bucks more.

Exactly, I wanted to mention that missed it. Indian Blu-rays do not have anything else apart from the movie.

Hi Santhosh,

Thanks for support ... However i feel sometime, this is an independent forum and yrk1969 is trying to save some bucks and it is a good one. One another day we may also land in the same situation like sam9s.

However for this kind of members sale, all can convey this kinda messages thru PM without posting directly in the thread... We are humans ;)

Just for information, Matrix Collection is region free. T2 probably isn't.

For Planet Earth, all I can say is that if you like Nat Geo types stuffs i.e. nature/documentary/great visuals then this one is a must have. I just sit sometimes and pause some scenes just to soak in to the view. Hell, I wish I had a life size projector screen to view this thing life like.

Chill Chill Santol......yrk was just trying to put an openion. Its me.....I was wrong and probably rushed to make a decission. The problem is I am a very conscious driven person and so did not want to hurt anyone by declining the offer which I took, however Sri is geniune person and helped me out of it without a guilt.......thanks Sri.

I apologize if my post appeared as an attempt to crash the sale. My only intention was to make sam9s aware of the options available.

Santosh/Idelbrain, I agree with extras part for multi-disc editions. For single disc versions, I think there is not much missing. For people interested in looking at extras, this would be genuine reason.

I would also add that quality of boxes and paper in Indian editions is a bit inferior.
